MINUTES OF THE MEETING HELD ON 24th FEBRUARY 2008 TO DISCUSS IMPLEMENTATION OF THE VILLAGE PLAN

154. Apologies
Apologies were accepted and approved.
155. Minutes
The Minutes of the meeting held on 26th November 2007 were confirmed and signed by the Chairman.
156. To Consider the way forward in securing the Playing Fields and Social Club site in Station Road for the village
After considerable discussion and debate is was Resolved
- - to arrange a whole village meeting at the Social Club, to be sponsored jointly by the Parish Council and the Playing Fields Association to be held on 23 April 2008.
- - Residents to pursue having the playing fields declared a “village green” through the Open Spaces Society.
- - To actively research any source of grant that may help in the purchasing of the site.
- - To approach DCC and EDDC to determine the possibility of a loan to purchase the site.
There being no further business the meeting closed at 2045 hrs.
