FENITON PARISH MEETING

Draft MINUTES OF THE PARISH MEETING HELD ON MONDAY 12th April 2010

Present: Cllr M Smith (Chairman)

Councillors: Mr P Privett, Mrs B Powell, Mr G Preston, Mrs P Blackmore, and Mr M Jolly.

In Attendance: PC Jim Tyrell 12 members of the public and J Masters (FPC Clerk).

1. Apologies for absence: - Cllr G Broom and Cllr R Giles (DCC) due to illness.

2. To confirm the Minutes of the Annual Parish Meeting held on 20th April 2009.

The minutes of the 2009 Annual Parish Meeting were agreed and signed by the Chairman.

3. Report by the Council Chairman:-
The Chairman said that he wished to thank all the Councillors for all the hard work that they had put in during the past 12 months, a lot of their work goes unseen, he also thanked the Clerk.

4. Report from the Parish Beat Manager:-
The biggest reduction in crime is clearly the drop in thefts from motor vehicles from 18 to 5,burglary non dwelling from 8 to 6,dwelling burglary from 2 to 0 and other classifications which have impacted on the figures generally. The big drop is due to what is called a one-man crime wave, the individual has moved away.

5. Reports from the County Council and District Council Councilors.
No reports were received by the Clerk.

6. Council’s Draft 2008/9 Income and Expenditure Accounts.
The Clerk read out a brief draft statement on the Parish Councils Income and Expenditure and ran through the various figures.

7. Reports were received from the following Organizations.

The written reports will be held on file.

8. To consider matters raised by the public

Mrs Daniels said that she was please that the Parish Council had managed to get the residency of the houses in Gray Gables and around the corner into Green Lane are now recognised as being part of Feniton.

Ms Chown raised concerns over the surface of the Village car park and the road leading to the car park.

There being no further business the meeting closed at 21.05hrs
