Draft MINUTES OF THE PARISH COUNCIL MEETING HELD ON MONDAY 12th April 2010

Present: Cllr M Smith (Chairman)

Councillors: Mr P Privett, Mrs B Powell, Mr G Preston, Mrs P Blackmore and Mr M Jolly.

In Attendance: 12 members of the public and J Masters (FPC Clerk).

1. Apologies for absence: - Cllr G Broom and Cllr R Giles (DCC) due to illness

2. To confirm the Minutes of the meeting held on 8th March 2010.
The minutes were agreed and the Chairman initialled each page and signed the last page.

3. Declarations of Interest from Members and Officers.
Cllr Blackmore declared an interest in Item 7a in these minutes.

4. Police Report for March:-
Just 5 reported incidents which were as follows;

Just 1 recorded crime which was a case of shoplifting. A male offender has been dealt with.

Nothing to report this month

9. Clerks Report:-
Several pothole have been reported to DCC Highways Department some have been repaired other have yet to be repaired.

The Bowling Club have asked for permission to hold a Car Boot Sale in the Village Hall Car Park, initially the Parish Council have no objection to one event going ahead providing the Club provide proof of Insurance Cover.

10. Grounds Maintenance Contract
Three proposals were put to the meeting:-

The Clerk was instructed to find out if the Village Handyman would take on the smaller jobs using his own equipment and to get more quotes for the maintenance of the QEII.

11. Individual Member responsibilities:-
Cllr Preston said that the Sign Post was broken at the eastern end of Green Lane and the tall bush near the railway crossing was overhanging the road from the railway property.

12. Date of next Parish Council and AGM meeting Monday 10th May 2010
